No. 1 Martensdale St. Marys (26-1) vs. No. 8 Kingsley-Pierson (15-2)     

Prediction:  This game will be closer than many people will believe. I expect a great pitching duel between Isaac Gavin and Evan Neumann and both lineups will be looking to do damage on each pitcher’s first mistake. In the end though Martensdale St. Marys has too much firepower and will come away with the win.

No. 4 South Winneshiek (25-1) vs. No 5 Don Bosco (17-1) July 24th 1:30 PM

Prediction: Hold onto your seat folks, this will be a very exciting game!! I expect to see Noah Tieskotter on the bump for the Warriors and Lewis Havel for the Dons. Both will try to fan the flames of excellent offenses who all season have put up big numbers. If the fans in attendance don’t see a longball I’ll be very surprised as both teams have excellent power! In the end, the Dons will prevail over the Warriors in extras.
